I know many people are struggling everyday keeping up on their bills credit card debts, mortgage payments, etc. I am very proud to say that I don't have that same problem. I see my savings account grow and grow everyday and I do not have to worry about how to pay the bills. Here's how to become financially stable:

1. Only buy something that you need. You may see products on sale when you go to the store, and you might think, I want to buy it because it is a good deal! Your first question should be, do I need it? Many people are wasting their money on things they don't need.

2. Put extra money into a savings account. I hear people say "I have some extra money, so I should go shopping!" Wrong, wrong, wrong! If you have extra money, you should save it. One good way to saving your money is to open CD accounts or online savings accounts that provide relatively good interest rates. Citibank.com, IngDirect.com, Presidential.com or HSBC.com provide online accounts that have good rates. I do this everyday. I have CD accounts at IngDirect.com, Citibank.com and HSBC.com At the end of every year, I earn at least $1,000 in interest rates alone and it is growing every year. That's a lot of money.

3. Take advantage of perks when you can. I travel for work. I travel almost every week to perform my job. That means of course that I spend the company's money on air tickets, hotels, car rentals, food, etc. What I do is charge them on my Citi credit cards so that I earn Thank You points on every expense. Here is how I earn thank You Points much more than anyone else. I have the following credit cards from Citibank:

PremierPass Elite - Aside from earning 1 point per dollar I spend, I earn one point for every mile I fly. That's almost extra 1,000 points per trip

Citi Professional - I earn 3 points per dollar on Car rental, gas stations and restaurants.

Driver's Edge Card - I earn 3 points for every dollar on gas stations, groceries, and I even get to claim 1 point for every 100 miles on my car mileage.

I use the card that will give me more points. That is how I maximize the points. I then convert all my thank you points to a statement credit when I have 35,000 points which is $250 dollars. It is like converting the points to cash if you really think about it. So far, I have converted $1,250 in one year I am traveling and I continue to do so.

4. Shop for bargains when you can. The best site to visit everytime you go shopping is dealsauthority.com. It is designed to deliver savings to everyone by making offers, promotions, coupons made by merchants available. When you search for a product, it automatically sorts the items for you so that you see the items that have the biggest discounts on top of the search results. You can purchase the products online, or actually visit the store with the knowledge that the best deals are out there.

5. Save money on airfare, hotels, car rental, vacations, etc when traveling. By visiting the website, you have the ability to search all online travel agencies at a time, and compare all their prices at once. You do not have to visit each site to find out the rate.
